A mid 19th century 18ct gold gem-set cannetille brooch. The three oval-shape purplish-pink topaz and replacement circular-shape emeralds, to the foliate engraved surround, with floral and bead accents. Length 3.2cms. Weight 6.5gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. Some surface wear and light discolouration in keeping with age. Panel has been converted from a clasp to a brooch. Soft solder to the brooch fitting. Wear to the gilt surface of the catch. Replacement emeralds. Topaz purplish-pink with light colour saturation. Gemstones are within closed-back settings. Emeralds bluish-green with moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in fair condition with abrasion and some significant nicks.
