The Navitimer is the model that really made Breitling’s name and cemented their relationship with aviation. Created in partnership with AOPO (Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association) and adopted as their official watch the first generation were released in the early 1950s with the model name but without Breitling on the dial.

The later second generation 806 Navitimer saw the introduction of the notched bezel that is still in use today and the change in colour of the sub-dials from black to silver. This example features the classic hand wound  Venus 178 movement with original box and papers from 1968.
