A late 19th century German or Austrian painted porcelain plaque. Depicting a mother and two children in a woodland clearing, with handwritten label verso "Mutterfreuden" ['Maternal delight'] "J. Baischlag", impressed 31 1, 7" x 4.6", (18cm x 11.8cm), in foliate scroll-carved limewood frame with easel support, 14.25", (36cm) high overall.

Panel in good order - slight dirt to borders but otherwise excellent.
Small loss to tip of one foliate scroll of cresting. Crack and further loss to upper right side. Crack to lower right corner of frame. Some old glue repairs plus one worm hole.
