An early 19th century inlaid mahogany cased 8-day painted dial longcase clock with moon phase, Anonymous, circa 1820, the 14-inch break-arched dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, framing subsidiary seconds dial plus calendar crescent, the arch with rolling moon, the movement with plain false-plate, rack striking on a bell, the high quality case with blue verre eglomise glass hood panels and ownership initials over swan neck pediment, Corinthian columns and chequer stringing, the triple arched long trunk door between cluster columns on a canted base and ogee bracket feet, 90.5" (230cm).

Condition Report
Dial- Crazed, name erased, some fading to blacking. Movement- Needs overhaul/dip (very dirty, possibly seized). Case- One finial missing, alters detached, some yellowing/fading to hood lacquer. Scratching to trunk door. Horizontal split to base, minor veneer losses over trunk door, a few cracks, nice case but need attention. Two pieces of side moulding to base are detached but present, as is arch of backing panel plus two finials.
