A late 19th century 18ct gold opal five-stone ring. The gradated oval opal cabochons, to the plain band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1896. Weight 4.5gms.

Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. One opal replacement. Abrasion to opals. The opals are well matched, with good play-of-colour displaying blue and green. The opals are braded. Ring size O 1/2.
