Lot Description

LEONIDAS - a gentleman's military issue wrist watch. Stamped with British broad arrow. Numbered 301561 117493. Unsigned manual wind movement. Silvered dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. Nickel plated case with stainless steel case back, fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 31mm. Together with a West End Watch Co. watch head.

<li>Movement is currently functioning.

<li>Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Movement appears to have two screws missing

<li>Dial appears to be in a poor condition with noticeable discolouration, marks, scratches, tarnishing and some lifting of the laminate. Luminous hour markers show discolouration and loss

<li>Hands show marks and tarnishing with discolouration to the luminous paint. Hour hand has a hole to the luminous insert.

<li>Glass has noticeable scratches and marks.  

<li>Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. Case has noticeable wear to the plating.

<li>Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has noticeable scratches, marks and wear to the plating.

<li>Strap shows marks and creasing.

<li>Buckle shows small marks and scratches.<p>
