A pair of late Victorian gold sapphire and split pearl earrings. Each designed as an oval-shape sapphire, within a split pearl surround. Length 1.1cms. Weight 3.2gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The sapphires colour are well matched with a blue to blue violet hue. One has a non-symmetrical cut, slightly irregular in shape. Typical inclusions present to both. Light to moderate surface scratches and nibbles. Some possible split pearl replacements. Blisters and blemishes present, with areas of nacre damage. The earrings have been re-tipped. The claw settings appear secure. The earring backs are replacements.
