A late Victorian 18ct gold sapphire and split pearl hinged bangle, circa 1890. The circular-shape sapphire and split pearl cluster, to the split pearl sides, with bar and bead detail. Inner diameter 5.5cms. Weight 10.5gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. The sapphire is possibly a replacement, with a medium blue hue and moderate saturation. Light surface scratches and abrasion to the facet edges. The split pearls are a creamy body colour with slight rose and green overtones. Light to moderate surface blemishes and nacre damage. Safety chain intact. Push-piece clasp in working order. Personal inscription to the inside reads 'K.A.M 12th September 1894'.
