Lot Description

A late Victorian silver salver of circular form with beaded rim enclosing a lobed border and engraved decoration to the centre, the whole raised on three foliate scroll and paw feet. Hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1897. Diameter measures 10 1/4 inches (26 cm), weight 18.37 ozt (571.2 grams).

In fairly good overall condition, the salver displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. No personal engravings. Heavier scratches and marks to some areas. The base is slightly warped. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark partly worn but still legible.
