Lot Description

An Edwardian silver seven bar toast rack, each ogee shaped bar with arch top, having a conforming shape handle to the centre and an open rectangular base raised on four ball feet. Hallmarked William Hutton & Sons Ltd., Birmingham 1908. Maximum length measures 5 1/4 inches (13.3 cm), weight 5.1 ozt (159 grams).

The toast rack displays general wear including surface scratches, marks, light knocks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The handle and some of the bars are a little misshapen. Also further small dints to the feet. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark is slightly clipped around the edge.
