Lot Description
A modern Italian table cigarette box of plain rectangular form, the hinged lid inset with a coin to the centre and opening to reveal a mirrored reverse and a cork lined interior. Modern Italian hallmarks for Firenze (1968-present) struck to the inner rim of the base only, also marked 925 in an oval punch. Measuring 6 1/4 inches (16 cm) by 4 3/4 inches (12 cm).

Condition Report
The box displays general wear including surface scratches, nicks and contact marks. Heavy tarnishing is visible throughout and it would benefit from a clean and polish. The lid appears of a darker colour and therefore may be not original to the base? The inset gold coloured coin appears to bear Italian marks for Milan and be marked 900. The hallmarks to the inner rim are partly distorted but mainly legible. Retailer's label to underside of base.
