A Charles I silver slip top spoon with fig shaped bowl to the tapering facetted stem, the terminal engraved '1640' and further personal monogram to the bowl reverse. Hallmarked London 1629, maker's mark indistinct. Length measuring 6 3/8 inches (16 cm), weight 1.1 ozt (36.5 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
A repair visible off-centre to the front of the bowl. Wear to the striking edge. Minor dints and bumps. Leopards head is clear anf legible, lion passant a little rubbed as is the date letter. Remnants of a maker's mark visible, possibly conjoined letters?
