Lot 451

Lot Description

An Edwardian silver & enamel purse mount, the arched top with metal suspension chain and finger ring and decorated with bright blue and green enamel hammered panels of varying shape. Hallmarked Frederick Courthope, London 1909. Length measuring 5 inches (12.7 cm).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The item displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier tarnishing to the reverse and to the chain. Would benefit from a polish. Slight dints and heavier scratches and marks to some areas. Clasp appears in working order, although a slight gap remains when closed. Several chips to the enamel, especially around the edges. Some of the hallmarks appear a little rubbed  but are mostly clear and legible.
