Lot Description

An Edwardian cased pair of silver and enamel game bird menu holders, each of circular form depicting a Mallard duck and a pheasant with scroll supports and raised on shaped circular bases. Hallmarked Levi & Salaman, Birmingham 1908. Height measuring 4 cm.

In very good overall condition. The lot displays light general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

The engraving and enamel work appears of a very high standard and technique. The enamel in very good condition, no chips or losses, only very minor pits only visible under magnification (probably as made). Filled bases. Hallmarks a tad rubbed but clearly legible. Retailers case with general wear, small losses to the surface.
