A late Victorian silver cigarette case of oblong form, with foliate scroll engraving throughout and enclosing a central vacant cartouche. Hallmarked Adie & Lovekin Ltd., Birmingham 1900. Measuring 8 cm by 5 cm, gross
weight 41.7 grams.

Condition Report
The case appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Slight heavier wear around edges and corners. A couple of minor dints, also some heavier scratches and nicks visible, especially to the cartouche. The decoration still appears bright. Hinges and clasp also appear in working order. Some tarnishing spots and marks to interior. No personal engravings. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark partly rubbed away.
