Condition Report
The box displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. The gilt decoration to the lid is very rubbed and worn with much of it now worn away completely. There are also losses to the mother of pearl inlay. Several areas of heavier wear to the lacquer, and on the base of the box the outer layer appears to be wearing or rubbing away. Numerous heavier scratches, nicks and edge scuffs throughout. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also part hallmarks to the lid.
