Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver mounted jewellery box of curved outline, ornately pierced throughout with birds amidst foliate scrolls and floral motifs and raised on three similarly decorated paw feet, the hinged lid with vacant circular panel to the centre and opening to a velvet lined interior. Hallmarked S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd., Birmingham 1922. Maximum length measuring 5 1/8 inches (13 cm).

Condition Report
The box displays some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some slight surface dints and also knocks to the feet. The hinged lid is in working order but when closed it overhangs slightly on one side. The interior lining is quite faded and discoloured, especially in the lid. The hallmarks appear a little rubbed but legible. Part hallmarks to lid are also rubbed.
