A mid-Victorian silver card case, of wavy outline having close foliate and scrollwork decoration to the whole with central engraved cartouche, hallmarked Alfred Taylor, Birmingham 1857, height measuring 4 inches (10 cm). Together with a modern Art Nouveau style vesta case, with raised portrait of a female with long hair amongst blossoming flowers, hallmarked J.C, London 2008, height 2 5/8 inches (6.75 cm). Gross weight 2.9 ozt (92.2 grams). (2).

Condition Report
The first in good condition displaying light surface wear and marks commensurate with age, hallmarks clear and legible and hinge in working order, although loose and does not firmly stay closed. Second with signs of wear and rubbing to surface and few minor scratches, hallmarks clear and legible and hinge in working order.
