Lot Description

An Edwardian silver sauce boat of typical form with shaped rim, flying scroll handle and raised on three shell capped stepped hoof feet, hallmarked Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson), Sheffield 1907. Together with a smaller 1930's example, hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham 1935. Weight 12.69 ozt (394.6 grams). (2).

Both sauce boats display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use. Some heavier nicks, scratches and contact marks visible to some areas, especially the interiors. Small rim split to the shaped rim of the Edwardian sauce boat. The hallmarks and maker's marks appear a little rubbed but are all still clearly legible.
