Lot Description
J.W. BENSON - a gentleman's wrist watch. Hallmarked Birmingham 1959. Signed manual wind Cyma movement. Silvered dial with alternating gilt arrow head markers and Arabic numerals. 9ct yellow gold case fitted to an unsigned brown leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 33mm.

<li> The manual wind movement is currently functioning.
<li> Movement appears to show scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear.
<li> Dial appears to show light pitting, visible under a 10x loupe, tarnishing and pitting to the hour markers and a small amount of loose debris present.
<li> Seconds hand appears to be heavily discoloures with areas of rusting and chips. Other hands currently display light scratches and tarnishing to the edges.
<li> Glass appears to have been replaed with plastic, which is slightly scratched.
<li> Case appears to show multiple medium scuffs and scratches with small chips and dark marks.
<li> Crown seems to be lightly scratched and heavily tarnished, resulting in the base metal becoming apparent.
<li> Case back seems to show multiple medium scratches, the majority of which should polish out and several small chips and areas of pitting.
<li> Strap appears to be in good condition.
<li> Buckle seems to have light pitting and scratches with rubbing to the pin resulting in the base metal being exposed.
