A late Victorian gold gem-set memorial brooch. Designed as a foil-back garnet and foil-back green gem cluster, within a foliate surround, to the cannetille border. Diameter 3.5cms. Weight 14.3gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. Pin later base metal replacement. Small dents can be seen to the cannetille surround. The garnets are fairly well matched with a purplish-red hue and fairly strong saturation, some garnets show abrasion and small scratches to the naked eye. The green-gems have a pale green with low saturation and abrasion to the facet edges.
