Lot Description
A mid Victorian memorial brooch and locket. To include a black enamel brooch with decorative central hair panel and personal engraving to reverse, together with a locket with woven hair panel and scroll engraving to one side. Lengths 6 and 3.7cms. Total weight 27.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Surfaces scratches to both pieces in keeping with general wear and age. Brooch has some discolouration and an indentation and deep scratch to the reverse and a split to part of the scroll work to the front. There is also a nick to the metal work to the front. Glass to both is scratched and lightly chipped, consistent with age and wear and would benefit from cleaning. Engraving to reverse of brooch reads 'Elizabeth Goode, died 26th Feb 1862. Aged 69.'
