Lot Description

A mid Victorian gold banded agate pendant. The split pearl star, atop an oval banded agate cabochon, within an oval-shape panel, to the rope-twist borders and a fancy-link fringe. Length 5.2cms. Weight 4.9gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition fair. Some surface wear and discolouration in keeping with age and general wear. Possibly converted to a pendant from another piece of jewellery. Split pearl star is not fixed in position and can easily swivel around and move outwards to a certain extent. One component of the fringe broken, tapered terminal deficient. Split pearl creamy white, fairly good skin with some surface blemishes. Fairly good lustre. Banded agate in good condition with minor abrasion.
