An Edwardian 18ct gold sapphire and diamond dress ring. The cushion-shape sapphire, within an old-cut diamond marquise-shape surround, to the plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1908. Weight 4.5gms.

<li>Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. <p>
<li>The setting has pulled away from the shoulders, and will require attention. <p>
<li>Sapphire medium dark blue, well saturated, with good clarity, and typical straight colour zoning visible with magnification. <p>
<li>Diamonds bright and fairly well matched. <p>
<li>Small light coloured inclusions can be seen to some diamonds under magnification. <p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. <p>
