Condition Report

Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.

Polished to a high finish.

Soft solder and hairline cracks to the back of the mount where an original brooch fitting would have been.

Would recommend attention to the settings as some claws worn/deficient.

Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.

Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Light to moderate nicks and chips can be seen to some. Fine feathers and fractures can be seen under magnification.

Sapphires are a medium to dark blue colour, well saturated, with typical inclusions.

The sapphires are in fairly good condition with light surface scratches and abrasion to the facet edges.

Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones.

Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
