Condition Report

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with age and general wear.

Evidence of repair and alteration. Small break to the gallery, soft solder. Replacement brooch fitting.

Pendant surmount is not original, it is detached and has no dedicated attachment point to the brooch. It does not easily attach to the brooch, except to the section with a small break to the gallery.

Replacement sapphire. Purplish-blue, medium colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstone in good condition with a few nicks.

Diamonds fairly bright and well matched. Individual size/setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Due to the nature of the rose-cut it has not been possible to calculate an accurate total rose-cut diamond weight. Scattered to large inclusions, many are surface reaching and visible to the unaided eye. Diamonds in fair to good condition, some with minor abrasion, some with significant nicks and chips. Durability of some may be impaired.

Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones.

Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
