Lot Description

A gentleman's wrist watch. Hallmarked London 1940. Numbered 846270. Unsigned manual wind movement. Silvered dial with gilt Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 9ct yellow gold case fitted to an unsigned brown leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 22mm.

<li>Movement is currently functioning.

<li>Movement is worn with some surface rust and noticeable scratches and marks visible to the naked eye.

<li>Dial appears to be in a poor condition with noticeable marks, scratches, tarnishing, some lifting of the laminate.  The arabic numerals display discolouration, most noticeably on the 12 and 7.

<li>Hands show marks and tarnishing with discolouration to the luminous paint.

<li>Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe.  

<li>Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints.

<li>Crown is currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking. Crown is a possible replacement.

<li>Strap shows wear with visible marks, creasing and discolouration.

<li>Buckle shows wear to the plating as well as marks and scratches.<p>
