Lot Description
A mid Victorian 18ct gold gem-set snake bracelet, circa 1860. The snake head set with foil-back garnet, chrysoberyl and white topaz, suspending a foil-back garnet drop, to the articulated body and push-piece clasp. Length 21cms. Weight 13.5gms. With fitted case.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Repairs visible to the connection between the snake head and articulated bracelet.
<li>The snake tail has been moved to cover the repair.
<li>Chips and nibbles to gemstones. Some chips are quite significant.
<li>Stones in poor condition with significant abrasion, chips and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.<p>
<li>The red cabochon eyes are possible replacements.
