Lot Description
A mid 19th century gold gem-set 'Regard' locket. Of heart-shape outline, the replacement vari-shape ruby, emerald, garnet, amethyst, diamond and turquoise, to the floral and foliate surround and reverse. Length 4cms. Weight 8.2gms.

<li> Overall condition good. Surface scratches and minor discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. <p>
<li> Gems vary in hue tone and saturation. <p>
<li> Diamond bright and lively. <p>
<li> Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen with magnification. <p>
<li> Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour and clarity assessment. <p>
<li> Stones in good to fair condition, with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. <p>
<li> Vacant glazed panel to inner compartment. <p>
