An open face pocket watch by James Loveday. Hallmarked London 1848. Signed full plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. White enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers. Silver case. 40mm. Box.

<li>Movement is not currently functioning.
<li>Movement is worn with some surface rust and noticeable scratches and marks visible to the naked eye.
<li>Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches, some lifting of the laminate visible to the naked eye. The edge of the dial bewteen the 6 and 9 o'clock hour markers is missing.
<li>Hands show marks and tarnishing with discolouration to the luminous paint.
<li>Glass has noticeable scratches and marks.
<li>Case shows scratches, marks and dints.<p>
<p>This lot comes with box but no papers.<p>
