Lot Description

A good Chinese porcelain blue and white ovoid jar.
Unmarked but probably Kangxi, (1662-1722)
Decorated with a band of alternate cloud motifs and Buddhist/Taoist precious objects, over ribbed body with two pairs of underglaze blue medallions, a dragon and a phoenix respectively, in turn over a lower frieze of clouds, double ring marks to base, 8.5”, (21.5cm), (lacks cover).
