Lot Description

A late 19th century Dutch white metal chatelaine. The elaborate bucklehook of hinged inverted T form, cast with scrollwork and baskets of fruit, Inscribed verso “Grietje Geerts” over seven belcher-linked chains to a nutmeg grater, bodkin, vacant chain, large fob seal, a second bodkin with figural surmount, heart motif and captive ball ornament as love-token, oval pail-shaped snuff bottle, and acorn-form vinaigrette/sal volatile bottle with facetted blue glass body, 12”, (30.5cm) long.
