A late 19th century French gilt metal novelty sewing casket. Of architectural form , the upper storey with hinged roof enclosing a thimble, over windows and balconies, the terrace hinged and enclosing a silk-lined interior, over further windows and external staircases, on four ball feet, stamped ‘MORFAU’ beneath, 3.5”, (9cm) high.
