A good group of African patinated ivory figures
Probably Lega, Congo, 19th century
Comprising nine figures in various standing, seated and haunched poses, each with stylised almond-shaped face with split navette-shaped eyes, most with incised vertical banding to torso, some on integral mound bases, all with pleasing mellow amber-coloured patination, 3.5" to 5", (9cm to 12.5cm) high, (9)
Provenance: Ex Private Collection, Belgium (Congo was previously a Belgian colony).
