Lot Description

A pair of Wileman & Co., Foley Intarsio vases.
The lead-glazed earthenware bodies of bulbous form having short neck surrounded by six handles, decorated with continuous band of swimming fish upon a blue wave and green ground, marked beneath 'Foley, Intarsio England Rd. No. 330286', and numbered 3285, each 5.5" (14cm) high.

Condition Report

One having area of residue to exterior, possibly tar, and does appear to be removable, with no corresponding damage to interior. Same vase with hairline crack to rim near one handle. Other displaying general light crazing to glaze.
