Lot Description

A George III oak cased brass dial longcase clock, the 11.25-inch chapter ring having Roman numerals and Arabic minutes, framing a matted and acanthus leaf engraved centre with date wheel aperture, signed William Tatnall, Warwick, the knopped four pillar, chain-driven movement with anchor escapement, in oak case raised upon stepped base.

Dial in fair condition with light wear, marks and surface scratches. Movement needs cleaning. Case with wide gap to front of base, escutcheon missing, other knocks and scratches commensurate with age.
