Lot Description

A pair of late Victorian cased silver open salts, of part fluted cauldron form having frilled rims and raised upon three ball feet, together with two salt spoon with silver-gilt bowls. Hallmarked William Davenport, Birmingham 1896. Diameter of each salt measures 4.5 cm, gross weight 26.8 grams.

Salts in good condition commensurate with age, displaying light areas of tarnishing. Spoons also in good condition with wear to gilding and minor surface marks. Hallmarks clear and legible and matching to each. Case with light scuffs to exterior.
