Lot Description

A late Victorian silver rose bowl of circular footed form, having moulded rim and girdle detail and embossed throughout with scrolling foliate motifs. Hallmarked William Mammatt & Son, Sheffield 1898. Rim diameter measures 8 1/4 inches (21 cm), height 6 inches (15.2 cm), weight 24.42 ozt (759.6 grams).

The bowl appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some slight surface dints. Residues of polish visible to some areas. Rim is very slightly misshapen. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
