A George III silver sauce boat by Hester Bateman, the oval body raised on three shell mounted hoof feet rising to the punch-work rim and high arch foliate capped scrolling handle. Hallmarked Hester Bateman, London 1776. Height measuring 4 3/4 inches (12 cm), weight 7.7 ozt (241 grams).

In good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A couple of small surface cracks to the silver. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
