Lot Description
An Edwardian silver teapot of lobed and fluted oval form, having a stained wood angular handle with scroll thumb rest and conforming stained wood finial to the domed and hinged lid. Hallmarked Birmingham 1909 with maker's mark 'J.C & S Ltd.' Maximum length measures 11 inches (28 cm), gross weight 20 ozt (623.4 grams).

Condition Report
The teapot appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Slightly heavier wear around the foot rim and also the edge of the lid. Hinges appear in working order. Finial is a little loose and needs to be tightened. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also part hallmarks to lid.
