Lot Description

Two similar George IV silver mustard pots of cylindrical drum form, gadrooned border and crest to one, hallmarked Richard Sibley I and Thomas Wilkes Barker, London 1823, height measuring 2 1/2 inches (6 cm). Together with a Victorian silver mustard pot of tankard form and engraved crest, hallmarked D & J Wellby Ltd, London 1868. Gross silver weight 15 ozt (468 grams). (3).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Both glass liners to the George IV examples are later replacements and both displays minor nibbles, hinges loose particularly to one example. Hallmarks worn but legible. Lot includes one later silver mustard spoon - associated.
