A 1920's silver and tortoiseshell mounted dressing table set, comprising hand mirror and four brushes, each having inlaid floral garland wreath with ribbon drop to the tortoiseshell backing, hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham 1922/3. Together with a boxed modern silver mounted brush and comb, hallmarked Mappin & Webb, Birmingham 1993/7, length of brush measures 4 6/8 inches (12 cm).

Tortoiseshell set in overall fair condition displaying few minor dints and surface marks to silver, and minor rubbing and marks to tortoiseshell. Hallmarks to most heavily rubbed and worn. Boxed set in good condition displaying minor rubbing to silver. Brush has been filled, and the box has one broken hinge.
