An early twentieth century silver mounted cigarette box, the oblong form with capstan edge, hinged engine-turned cover with central cartouche with personal inscription opening to a silver-gilt interior and wood lining. Hallmarked A & J Zimmerman Ltd (Arthur & John Zimmerman), Birmingham 1912. Maximum length measuring 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm).

In good overall condition. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Over polished with some loss of definition and detail to the engine-turned decoration. Hallmarks also significantly worn.
