Lot Description

A late Victorian silver mounted cigarette box, of plain rectangular form having a slightly domed hinged cover and opening to reveal a soft wood lined interior. Hallmarked London 1888 with maker's mark 'JB'. Length measures 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm).

Overall fair condition displaying minor bumps and dints particularly to hinged lid. A small gap remains when the lid is in a closed position. Exterior displaying general surface scratches, marks and tarnishing, interior with minor wear. Some light rubbing but the hallmarks are still legible. Matching part hallmarks to lid.
