A 1930's silver trophy cup and cover, the circular base rising to the stem with segmented kop and campana shaped body with foliate embossed border and personal inscription. Hallmarked to the body only Birmingham 1938. Total height 18 inches (46 cm), gross weight 36.5 ozt (1447 grams).
'The Grosvenor Cup Aintree 1953. Won by Mr J. Johnson's 'Royal Entrance' Trained by R. Peacock. Ridden by W. Nevett.'
