Lot Description

A mid-nineteenth century Russian silver open salt, of bulbous fluted form having rising to the octagonal neck with engraved band, the whole raised upon a circular flared foot. Russian hallmarks beneath to include the mark for Moscow 1861 and Cyrillic maker's and assay master's marks. Height 4 cm, weight 24.2 grams.
