Lot Description
A large continental silver mounted table cigarette box of plain rectangular form with curved corners, the hinged lid having a raised leaf and berry bordered panel to the centre enclosing an engraved monogram and dates 1918...1943, and opening to a wood veneered interior. Stamped to the reverse '830S', also 'KBS' and a further pictorial mark. Maximum length measures 9 1/2 inches (24 cm).

Condition Report
The box displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Would benefit from a polish. Some slight surface dints and edge/rim nicks. Slightly heavier wear to corners. The hinged lid appears in working order although a slight gap remains when it is closed. The whole silver mount is very loose and lifting from the wood base. There are large splits to the wood base and a repair to one corner, also the veneer to the interior is lifting in places. The box wobbles slightly.
