A nineteenth century Colonial Indian silver christening mug, the cylindrical form chased with floral festoons, monogrammed cartouche, flanked by beaded borders and embellished scrolling handle. Hamilton & Co., Calcutta. Height measuring 3 1/4 inches (8 cm), weight 118 grams (3.7 ozt).

Condition Report
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Further wear is evident, split to body inside rim near the handle, the overall circular shape has also become a little distorted. The beaded rim has pulled away in a couple of places. The decoration has rubbed and numerous dints visible. Maker's mark to the underside a little worn but legible.
