A George II silver soup ladle, the shell bowl rising to the tapering handle with scrolling shell terminal crested to the reverse. Hallmarked London 1759. Length measuring 13 inches (33 cm), weight 8.6 ozt (269 grams).

The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Rubbing with loss of definition to the decoration. Pitting to solder and probable repairs. Lion passant and date letter only visible, other hallmarks have been erased.
