Lot 583

Lot Description

A cased set of twelve 1930's silver-gilt and enamel coffee spoons, each with a slender, tapering stem having guilloché enamel to both sides and further enamelled to each bowl reverse, in yellow, pink, lilac, blue and green tones. Hallmarked William Suckling Ltd., Birmingham 1936/7/8/9. Gross weight 5.17 ozt (160.8 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

All the spoons display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Spoon bowls all seem to have faired well. Damage to enamel on several of the spoons, seven have sections missing to the reverse of the bowls and some of these areas are fairly large. Slight distortion to some but the hallmarks are mainly clear and legible.
